Have you recently gone through your 'old' movies to seek out "Logan's Run' or 'Soylent Green'? I do not need to. Both of those cult classics are forever ingrained in my mind. They were both 'futuristic' type movies and they both have similar theme's. The elderly are disposable. Of course both of them go about utilizing the elderly in different fashions. Soylent Green uses the elderly as a FOOD source. Little wafers of food, to feed the hugely overpopulated world. Green foods are gone, animals are no longer a food source; so the elderly at about 60 years old are given the 'going out' of a virtual reality type relaxation room with music piped in and a large screen of beautiful scenery of when the world was healthy and trees existed.
In Logan's Run on the other hand, it depicts a dystopian future society in which population and the consumption of resources is managed and maintained in equilibrium by the simple expedient of demanding the death of everyone upon reaching a particular age, thus avoiding the issue of overpopulation.
So are our resources depleting? Why would this ObamaCare plan include NO CARE for the elderly if they have a disease, or other END OF LIFE issues. Obama says 'take a pain pill' so that basically the seniors are medicated in their end of life times. WHAT IF it is NOT their end of life? What if those seniors need a simple transplant of some organ, or a bypass surgery, or perhaps a hip replacement??? Obama says if they haven't taken care of themselves, its basically THEIR fault these problems have occurred.
Really? Obama isn't worried because when he is in his 50-60's + he has a Federal Health plan that gives him the BEST health insurance. His wife gets it too. Probably his children as well. SO it doesn't AFFECT him or the family.
The rest of the Nation are BENEATH him, so they can have a lessor health plan. Or none at all. Not for end of life.
The AARP HOSTED Obama today while he is pushing his health care ideas. THE AARP!!
So I know what group I will urge my older family members to END their affiliation with AARP. Obama says 'some bureaucrats decision' wont demand the seniors to pick a hospice or elder care plan for their end of life. Nothing CURATIVE mind you. SO obama says whats in the BILL--wont have to be followed??
Oh yea! This is the switch and bait of 'don't read the Bill, just listen to me!" ....These are not the droids you are looking for.....
When I am in my 60-70's or beyond, the federal government will NOT dictate the health care I can or can not have! I DECIDE!
I am an AMERICAN. My RIGHTS and LIBERTIES will not be trampled on!

Aaaah, but he admits he is "unfamiliar" with parts of the Health Bill..
And, as I posted the other day, if this health bill is so good for all of YOU, then I think you should all demand the politicians (YOUR employees after all) also sign on for the same plan.
Be a huge turnabout if that was a demand..
